Callie graduated from Washburn Law School in 1997 and went immediately to work for the Kansas Court of Appeals as a staff attorney, first in Central Staff, and later for the Honorable Jerry Elliott. In 2000, and for the next seven years, Callie worked for the City of Lenexa as an Assistant City Attorney. In 2007, Callie took a break from the practice of law to care for her four young children. In 2012, she returned to work outside the home by joining Charlson & Wilson Bonded Abstracters, Inc. as a title and closing attorney. She now owns Charlson & Wilson, along with her business partner, Todd Sheppard.

Dirk has lived in Manhattan since 1983. He graduated in 1987 and has worked at First Savings Bank, Kansas Lumber Homestore, and has been at Steel and Pipe Supply Company, Inc., a private steel distributor and manufacturer in the carbon and galvanized steel space, for the last 27 years. He currently serves as the Vice President/Chief Financial Officer.
He serves as trustee for several of the Goldstein related trusts, which have ownership in SPS Companies, Inc.. He has also been an active volunteer in many social service agencies during his career, and serving his second term on the Flint Hills Breadbasket board. In all his boards, he has held positions as Board Chair and Treasurer. He is currently involved with Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community and is currently a board member of Ascension Health Care in Manhattan and Wamego. He enjoys being involved in his community, and is of the belief that with active involvement by community members, an organization can improve. He is married to a fourth grade teacher and have two grown children starting their careers in accounting and education. |

Jaime Minnich serves as the Treasurer of the Flint Hills Breadbasket. Jaime is the Vice President of Accounting at CivicPlus. She holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Accounting from Kansas State University. Jaime also leads the Finance Committee for Manhattan Catholic Schools. In her personal time, she enjoys attending K-State sporting events, reading books and listening to podcasts. Jaime and her husband Loren have four children and reside in Manhattan.

Doug joined as a Board Member to the Flint Hills Breadbasket after he volunteered at various times over the past years (20)+ with the St Thomas More Church / Knights of Columbus with both Thanksgiving and Christmas boxes. He enjoys helping others and appreciates the opportunity to give back within the Manhattan community so that no one is faced with hunger and is able to enjoy a healthier life.

Michelle is an 18 year veteran to the Human Resources profession. She is currently working for Florence Corporation as the Sr. Director of Human Resources. She has a knack for translating an organizations vision into initiatives that drive change, performance and growth. Prior to Florence Corporation, Michelle worked in several other strategic roles within private and public organizations, ranging from small companies to Fortune 500 organizations. Michelle holds a Bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in Rhetoric and Speech Communication. Michelle and her family moved back to the Manhattan, KS area nine years ago to raise their family. She is excited to give back to the community that has been a large part of her life. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and friends and enjoys going to live music events and loves to be outdoors camping, hiking and gardening.

Tammy works the City of Manhattan as the Director of Human Resources and Risk Management. She graduated with a dual bachelor's degree in Business Management and Human Resources Management from Kansas State University and a Master of Business Administration with a certificate in Human Resources from Baker University. Tammy has worked for the City since 2011. She serves on the Flint Hills Breadbasket board of directors, Manhattan Area Technical College Business Advisory Council, Manhattan Catholic School Council of Education, Seven Dolors Parish Council, K-State Credit Union Supervisory Committee, and Human Resource Management Network Board of Directors. Tammy is a member of Sigma Beta Delta, PRIMA, SHRM, and IPMA-HR. She loves playing with her kids, reading books Latin dancing, and spending time with her family and friends.

M.L. is a long time resident of Manhattan- growing up and graduating from Manhattan High and Kansas State University with a degree in Business Management. He currently serves on the boards for the Flint Hills Breadbasket, Boys & Girls Club Board, the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation. He is an advisor on Riley County's e-Community loan board and serves as the co-chair for the Manhattan Young Trustees.
M.L. works as a commercial loan officer at KS State Bank. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and on the golf course. He shares "Finding ways to give back to Manhattan is so important, as Manhattan has done so much for me and my family through the years!" |

Lisa Sisley is a K-State graduate with a degree in English literature, a retired former business owner and a Manhattan resident of 40-plus years. She has served on the boards of Pawnee Mental Health, Meadowlark and the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce, among others. She is on the executive committee of Humanities Kansas and graduated from Leadership Kansas. Lisa also serves on the Community Support Fund Advisory Board for the City of Manhattan. She volunteers with the Rise Up Scholars program in the College of Business Administration and mentors several younger people. Lisa and her husband Ken have a daughter and son-in-law (and two grand-doggers) who live in the area.

Kailen is a long-time resident of Manhattan. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church and traveled to Chicago, Minneapolis, Colorado, and Mexico for mission trips. She is called to help people and sees FHBB as a way to help her community. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family, working outside and relaxing- all when she is not shuttling her three boys to various activities.

Janae works at Kansas State University as the Strategic Communications Officer for the College of Agriculture’s Innovation Initiative. Prior to working at K-State, she worked at Kansas Farm Bureau as the Young Farmers and Ranchers and Collegiate Programs Manager. She graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Communications. When she's not working, Janae serves on the Flint Hills Breadbasket board of directors, Alpha of Clovia Alumni Board, loves to attend K-State sporting events, play pickleball, and to spend time with her black Labrador, Wabash.

Mary Sullivan has been employed at Kansas State University for the past 18 years in the Agricultural Economics Department. As the Public Information Officer, Mary manages the advertising and marketing, communications with students and alumni, plans special events, and coordinates international agribusiness tours for the Department and Master of Agribusiness program. She also assists in student recruiting.
Mary completed a Master’s of Professional Studies in Organizational and Professional Communication from the University of Denver in 2013 and a Certificate in Digital Marketing Analytics from MIT Sloan School of Management in 2020. Mary was a member of the Leadership Manhattan program, and she currently serves on the Flint Hills Breadbasket Board of Directors, K-State Faculty Senate and the Executive Committee, K-State Term Employee Caucus Committee, and Pilot Club of Manhattan. Previously, she has been a member of the Friends of Sunset Zoo Board of Directors, National M.S. Society Walk committee, and the Manhattan Emergency Shelter Bag Lady Lunch and Auction planning committee. Mary, her husband Frank, and daughter Savannah reside in Manhattan. |

Steve came to Manhattan with his bride in 1971 and immediately went to work at Kansas State University. Over the years, Steve received his BS, MS and finally a PHD in Toxicology, all while working at the university. He started with the department and eventually served as Director of Environmental Health and Safety for twenty-eight years until he retired in 2014, after a full forty-three years at KSU. Also during that time he served as a consultant to the State of Kansas, designing the Household Hazardous Waste Program and training people in communities all around the state to start and maintain their community programs, including in Riley County. Steve served as chair of Project Impact, a half million dollar federal program for Riley County and served as chair of the Riley County Solid Waste Committee for over 25 years. He was on the founding board of the Manhattan Arts Center in the 1990s and has served on that board and various committees since then. He’s well known for his set construction leadership and those cleverly named and tasty beverages for all the performances. Steve and his wife, Jan, have two sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law and five grandchildren. The family has always enjoyed cooking together for holidays and special celebrations. He started more elaborate cooking as a hobby and has become known by friends and relatives as an amazing chef. This interest led to his concern about community food needs and his support of the Breadbasket as a local solution to these concerns. He is very excited to have a more active role in helping make our community a heathier place for all of our citizens by serving on this board.

Heather graduated from KSU, lived all over the world, and returned to Manhattan to establish her business, Flight Crew Coffee. She loves people and believes firmly that “we’re better together”.

Bill Spiegel is a farmer and freelance journalist specializing in farming and agriculture, writing for publications like Successful Farming, High Plains Journal and The Furrow. He has served on the boards of the Kansas Foundation for Ag in the Classroom, No-till on the Plains, the American Agricultural Editors Association and Humanities Kansas He is the owner-operator of a fourth generation family farm in Jewell County, Kansas, where he grows corn, soybeans, grain sorghum and wheat, using regenerative agriculture practices. He and his wife, Julie, have twin boys and live in Manhattan.
